half-remembered slogans, again

I was in the classroom in Teaching Building 1 for my last class yesterday morning, and glanced at the signs on either side of the blackboard. For some reason that particular room has two of these slogans that the management of Building 1 love so much....

Where the bloody hell are you?

So I guess I could do a Micah Sittig and focus on public transport... but I really don't go out that much anymore. My life generally revolves around this apartment, the office and classrooms at BeiGongDa, and the local market. But just for this post......

Or at least that's how it felt today. I was all prepared, I knew what had to be done, I'd done the same lesson three times already last week (with the other classes, obviously. I do not inflict my students with the same inane bullshit four times over....

And just because I can, I'm going to post another of those odd slogans on signs by the blackboard in many of my classrooms. 维持课堂纪律并不是老师的义务 Maintaining classroom discipline is absolutely not the teacher's duty? Uh, right....

scariness

The wife has decided I will sit the HSK really soon. She's absolutely right, of course, but I find the idea a little daunting and quite scary. Guess I should get my arse into gear and study, then....
